A border of three scroll,leaf and vine devices separated by three Persian ornaments decorates the flange of this pattern. In the center, an elaborate scroll is enhanced with additional blossoms and foliage.

"Aurora", often found with polychrome enamel highlights, is one of the small group of new patterns at mid-century. Printed on ironstone, these patterns move primarily toward abstract ornament rather than floral or scenic studies as decoration.
