Combinations from Wedgwood's various processional groups (framed by trees)wrap this covered dish. A laurel and berry border decorates the underplate while sprigs from the "Cupids" and "Bacchanalian Boys" series decorate the slightly domed lid.

We feel this piece could also have been intended as a serving piece for either spreads or sweet meats. Such pieces also occur with silver plated metal lids.
