Some unknown maker has conjured up the perfect picture of the romantic idyll for an 1830's-40's public. Picturesque decaying gothic ruins in lush garden setting would have been the ideal for much of the consuming public of the day. Execute this picture with finely engraved printing plates maximizing the values of blue in the transfer, wrap it in a lush floral and beaded printed border, print it on a pretty shaped lightweight blank, and one has the "Verona" pattern -- the romantic ideal.

The maker is unknown on "Verona" although we have heard mention of a Minton attribution -- plausible, but as yet undocumented.
