Wedgwood's yellow jasper provides a ground for its familiar jardiniere design that matches in freshness any plant material the pot might contain.

The primary focus of the design on this small cachepot is a garland of grapevine caught up in swags by traditional lion mask fittings.  Wedgwood completes the design with a floral relief band set into the rim around the top and a series of figural sprig groups placed at intervals beneath the lion masks.

The relief groups chosen for this particular vessel are "Nike and Warrior," "The Archers," "The Three Graces," and "The Procession."
