Alternating Greek temples and urns create a graphic border surround for a central mythical panel recalling a sculpted relief. Typically, these central panels seem to depict some sacrifice or ritual, in this case between two participants and their dog.

While one notes surface use when one rakes light across the surface, the only notable wear is at the inner rim. The plate is potted in such a way that the inner rim is slightly cupped creating a more susceptible "high point" at the edge of the well.
