Alternating Greek temples and urns create a graphic border surround for a central mythical panel recalling a sculpted relief. The tableau would seem to be a sacrifice or tribute to a Goddess as three soldiers prepare to celebrate the glories of war.

Coincidently, the central tableau is also shared with the "Etruscan" pattern by Elkin, Knight and Bridgwood. We find the two patterns co-ordinate well possibly because both obviously draw from a common source as yet unidentified.
