Brownhills "Children's Clock" series features an outer border Roman numeral clock face. A second a-b-c border frames the center scene.

In the center, two brothers trot along, the older in charge of a wheelbarrow. "Sis" appears to be the passenger. This brown transfer plate is especially well colored with the older brother's shirt picked out in royal blue, the wall picked out in yellow, green plant life, and red for sis' blanket and little brother's hat.

Brownhills "Children's Clock" seems to hold an extra fascination for collectors possibly due to the double teaching function of the alphabet and Roman numeral borders. Of course, the series also features particularly idyllic visions of childhood.
