In the "Daniel in the Lion's Den" scene of Brownhills "Bible Pictures" series, the pious Daniel gazes toward heaven while a group of somewhat puzzled big cats look on. (Note the expressions on the lions' faces.) Enamel highlights to the brown transfer include burgundy for Daniel's coat and ochre for the lions.

The "Bible Pictures" series always features a familiar Bible scene depicted on a partially unrolled scroll trimmed with a laurel leaf border and sprays of laurel. This device is laid on a field of ABC's dotted with little florets to lighten the composition.
