A simple round bowl, raised above table level by a short straight foot, is ornamented by a pattern consisting of only three plant motifs. Rising vertically are alternating naturalistic bell flower sprigs and classical style acanthus leaves.  Above, between two raised lines runs a horizontal band of oak leaves and acorns--rendered realistically, yet still reminding one of the plant's ancient honorable status. The relief is medium green, except for the bell flowers in lilac.

The combination of green and lilac jasper on white was employed in a number of Wedgwood's tri-color patterns. A collection of a number of different pieces sharing this color palette creates a charming--almost pastel candy like impression.
