This small, dark medium blue bowl is decorated with a tabletop array of oriental treasures-- vases and baskets of flowers, conch shells and tea chests in front of a fine mesh background.  The inside of the bowl is finished with a fine beadwork pattern along the top edge and an inner border of fine mesh.  This inner border features elaborately draped reserves of squatty two handled vases, scrollwork and stylized rosebuds.  A single final rose decorates the interior bottom of the bowl. We especially like the standing figure with parasol decorating the front of the vase.

David Furniss, J. Richard and Judith Wagner illustrate examples of this pattern in Adams Ceramics, Staffordshire Potters and Pots, (p. 38).  The example they show carries the Adams impressed eagle mark.
