Here, the interplay of molded floral elements and transfer print creates a snowflake effect. The center scene looks down into some far Eastern dreamland complete with garden, pagodas, mountains and even a little boat on the stream.

Petra Williams shows two variants on this pattern with identically formatted marks, Wood & Challinor and Davenport. This example adds a third potter, possibly John Carr & Co. (Northumberland, 1840's) or Joseph Clementson (Staffordshire, 1840's).
