A scene of travellers resting with their camels beneath palm trees prior to entering the distant oasis is delicately rendered in a very pale pink transfer. A solid ground border of florals and fretwork forms the contrasting frame.

Given the pale color of the transfer, an unknown potter and the border design, we wonder if this is a product of a short-lived, un-sung effort re-using old printing plates. We have noted similar borders on some of the 1820's patterns.
