"Fisherman's Hut" is either a scene of commerce or domestic bliss. The fisherman seems to have just stepped out from his hut, equipment in hand only to be confronted by a kneeling woman busy corralling her child as she examines baskets of large fish.

The deep indigo like blue color of this transfer provides abrupt contrast with the white ceramic body used for this pattern. The English feel this pattern must have been made for export as examples have only recently appeared on the English market.
